drable for original fiction
Tittle: Memory
Drabble from My vampire original story.
Rate: PG-13 ( For Mature themes)

A sob echoed down the hall. Trembling hands reached out for the dead body lied on the tiled floor. A single blood drop marred the white cloth. Memories flood the girl's mind while hugging the cold body tightly. She's only a moment too late. A series of if-onlys drummed her head.

Death was never an easy thing to get through no matter how frequent she experiences it.
Loath of herself, her species, her vulnerability, she rocked back and forth letting her weakness taking over her for a little while.
Suddenly she stayed still when she heard familiar footsteps approached her.
For the last time, she kissed the forehead of the deceased and dropped the body back to the ground.
Since the body was only his empty case, his soul has moved on for the next journey.
Her lover was not here anymore. The footsteps stopped behind her, a man stood tall waiting for her silently. She understood all too well, the cycle of life would never stop. Therefore it was time to stop her grieve. Slowly stood up she threw a sorrowful glance towards the dead body that was once hosted the soul of the man she loved for the last centuries. Her fingers brushed the blood-tear streak on her cheeks, she turn around looked as composed as she usually did.
The man who was now facing her, pat her shoulder offered his sympathy and started to return from where he came from.
Without looking back, she followed him out of the house and return back to the darkness where she belongs, to wait.
She knew for sure, her lover would come to this world again. Did not matter how long it takes because she have forever to wait.
